Sight Glass Covers For Pharmaceutical Processes

Pfaudler's new Glasslook and Fillook sight glass covers provide enhanced safety and a clearer insight into pharmaceutical processes during the optical monitoring of reactors and pipelines. Glasslook, for which the glass pane is fused into a glass-lined steel rim, benefits from a homogeneous pressure-tension distribution within the entire temperature range and the glass. Similarly with the Fillook system, there is a clear view at all times and since product only comes into contact with the glass pane and the glass steel only, it does not get contaminated.

Compared with other metal-fused sight glasses, Pfaudler's Glasslook/Fillook combination is claimed to offer a greater application range and a higher chemical resistance. Available in a variety of designs for different application ranges, the Glasslook and Fillook systems are easy to clean and are made so that condensation easily runs off the sloped cover. Enhanced safety, as well as the easier filling and removal of product, is also made possible because there are no gaskets.
