Foremost Launches Extended Range Of M16 Connectors
Foremost Electronics has introduced M16 connectors from Binder that are ideal for equipment located in remote locations, such as gas meters, and industrial instrumentation such as sensors and gauges. The availability of screw-clamp-terminated versions of the Binder M16 range enables simple mounting or service replacement in the field without the need for a soldering iron, according to the company.
These new connectors will complement, and are fully interchangeable with, the existing solder versions and are available across the complete M16 range encompassing both the IP40 581 series and IP67 423 series connectors. Each connector is supplied with an Allen key for terminating connecting cables.
Available for cable sizes from 4mm to 8mm, the Binder M16 range is manufactured in nickel-plated brass, has screw-clamp termination contacts for wires up to 0.75mm, AWG 20, is supplied in three-, four- and five-pole formats and has a current rating of 6-7A. Gold-plated contacts ensure more than 500 mating cycles.
