CAD Software Allows Users To Manipulate DWG Files

Dassault Systemes (DS) has announced that its free Draftsight 2D CAD software for Mac OS is available for free download, enabling users to create, edit and view DWG files. Draftsight is said to take a few minutes to download and runs on multiple operating systems, including Mac OS, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, and is available for professional CAD users, students and educators.

Linux support will be available later this year. Dassault Systemes also recently launched an open, online community. Accessible through the Draftsight website, the community provides users with access to new services and products, as well as a range of online training resources.
