Switcher Offers 750W Power Source For Medical Apps

The RMD750 medical grade switcher offers a 750W power source for analytical laboratory, clinical and molecular diagnostics, dental, medical imaging, surgical/medical and ophthalmic applications. The RMD750 series incorporates no load regulation, low leakage current and power factor correction (PFC) with an input voltage range of 90-264V AC operation for use in medical devices worldwide. The company states that the series has been designed with conservative de-rating and design margins to ensure reliable operation in the most demanding medical device environment.

The self-cooled RMD750 single-output power supplies are available with any output voltage range from 24 to 56V in 0.1V increments. The power supply delivers 750W of continuous output power at 0 to 50C operating temperature. The units have a 5in (W) x 9in (L) x 3in (H) (127 x 228.6 x 76.2mm) footprint and provide over 5.5W/in3 power density. Standard features include: remote sense, power OK, output LED indicator, remote on/off signals, 5V standby at 0.250A and low-noise DC fan.
