Adept Introduces UEI 12-Channel Relay Boards

Adept Scientific has announced it is now offering 12-channel, electromechanical relay boards from United Electronic Industries (UEI) for use in switching and digital control applications. The DNA/DNR-DIO-452/462 relay boards are designed for use with UEI's Cube and Racktangle I/O series respectively. Each channel is configured as a standard Form C (SPDT) relay and switches voltages up to 100V DC or 150V AC.

Each channel is rated for continuous operation at 2A at 30V DC and 0.75A at 125V AC with an output voltage of less than 200mV (less than 200mohm). All relays default to 'off' on power-up/reset and switching rates up to 125Hz are supported. Each relay is protected by an on-board 2A slow-blow fuse. All connections are made through a 37-pin D connector ensuring no problems when mating cables or connectors. Users may also connect the DNx-DIO-452/462 boards to UEI's DNA-STP-37 screw terminal panel via the DNA-CBL-37S cables.

The cables are fully shielded and are available in 1ft, 3ft, 10ft and 20ft lengths. The DNx-DIO-452/462 series includes software drivers supporting operating systems such as Windows, Linux, QNX, VXWorks, RTX and other real-time operating systems. Windows users may make use of the UEIDAQ Framework, which provides a complete software interface to all popular Windows programming languages and data acquisition and control applications.
