Triaxial Accelerometers For Modal Analysis Testing

Dytran Instruments is introducing a series of miniature triaxial accelerometers designed for modal analysis testing and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) applications. The 3363AT series are IEPE-type piezoelectric sensors that feature IEEE 1451.4 TEDS capability. They have a robust, laser-welded titanium design that includes ceramic sensing elements coupled to ultra-low-noise JFET electronics. The 3363AT series accelerometer offers a low end-frequency response of -5 per cent down to 0.3Hz, as well as a good signal-to-noise ratio.

The 3363AT sensors are available in sensitivities of 10, 50 and 100mV/g. They have a 10-32 stud mount, four-pin radial connector and are hermetically sealed for normal operation in high-humidity and dirty environments. The housing of the 3363AT is titanium, which contributes to light weight of 4.3g. Designed for modal analysis and ESS applications, the 3363AT is also ideal for general triaxial vibration measurements, shaker control, squeak and rattle, and noise vibration and harshness (NVH). This range of accelerometers is also available without TEDS as the 3363A series.
