End-Suction Pumps Comply With Atex Directives

The Salvatore Robuschi range of process pumps, available from The Pump Company, is ideal for handling clean, two-phase gaseous liquids, abrasive liquids or liquids containing particulates. The end-suction pumps are available with a full range of precision investment cast impellers, including closed high-efficiency, semi-open and vortex flow. Available sealing types include soft-packing, single, double-tandem or back-to-back mechanical seals.

The pump is manufactured in AISI 316 (CF8M) and other materials such as Monel and Hastelloy; other alloys are available on request. The range is also fully compliant with the Atex directives. The Salvatore Robuschi range comprises low-NPSH pumps that save on energy costs and deliver a fast payback on the investment. The pump configuration is either long or close-coupled end suction as well as vertical cantilever - a design that is not affected by temperature. It can handle abrasive or solid material, requires minimal maintenance and can run dry. The end-suction process pumps have an average delivery time of 15 days.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
