M12 Steel with LED: New Design for an Old Concept

The unbreakable M12 Steel connector is now available with an LED. The light is large, bright and clearly visible. Now it’s possible to check the switching state of sensors on-site, even in extremely demanding applications like the Food & Beverage industry.

Integrated LEDs are often difficult to see because they are small and not very bright.  Murrelektronik's M12 Steel solves this problem. Our integrated LED wraps around the base and lights up the complete cable seal. The luminous area is ten times bigger than that of a conventionally integrated LED. This makes the light easy to see even from far away.

The placement of the LED guarantees that the M12 Steel connector is sealed. This makes it especially suitable for applications in the food and beverage industry. Many stainless steel sensors are offered without LEDs because of sealing problems. With the M12 Steel with LED, now it’s possible to check the switching state in applications close to the operating area.

M12 Steel is fully potted and made of corrosion resistant V4A stainless steel. It meets the requirements of IP65, IP67, IP68 and IP69K protection and it successfully passed the ECOLAB test. Murrelektronik's M12 Steel with LED is available as 4-pole model with PVC and TPE-S cable material, all in standard lengths from 1.5 up to 10 meters.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
