Budweiser is Now Experiencing All The Benefits of The Danfoss ICF Valve Station

The application of the ICF Valve Station has effectively shortend the manufacturing time of the project for Budweiser in their Ziyang factory in China. Furthermore, the ICF Valve Station has helped to ensure the stability and easy maintenance of the refrigeration installation. In addition, this solution helps to achieve remarkable savings.

According to the calculated data, the installed 178 Danfoss ICF Valve Stations can help Budweiser Ziyang factory to achieve more than 50% cost savings in valve installation and more than 30% cost savings in valve maintenance and operation costs.

As the first production base of Budweiser in southwest area, the Ziyang factory in China Sichuan province reflects a strategic significance in the Chinese domestic market by Budweiser Group. In order to keep pace with the commissioning plan and the coming global aboard conference in the new base, the construction period of the whole fermentation area refrigeration system cannot be more than 4 months.

In this project, Danfoss ICF Valve Station solution showed its extraordinary effect. Compared to the traditional design of the industrial valve components, ICF Valve Station reduces a lot of welds and since no disassembly is needed during welding, significant time savings are achieved. The Thick Layer Passivation (TLP) surface treatment makes the ICF a very suitable for the environment around the beer tank where changing levels of humidity and air
temperatures occur due to constant frost build up, etc.

Besides the installation of the ICF solution in fermentation area, a series of Danfoss Industrial Refrigeration components have also been installed in deoxidization, hops storage and icy water control systems. Based on the advanced technology and reliable production, Danfoss helps our client achieving significant savings in this project.

The more than 15,000 ICF Valve Stations installed worldwide help our clients to save installation space and maintenance time - increasing the overall working efficiency. The ICF is designed and tested to withstand a maximum working pressure of up to 52 bar (750 psi) in a media temperature range of –60/+120°C (–76/+248°F), making the ICF suitable for the natural refrigerant CO2 and other future high pressure refrigerants.

At Danfoss we believe that real value comes from time and cost savings and with the ICF Valve Station our customers worldwide have simplified their system designs and saved both time and costs.

Regional sales manager Anning Zhang states:
“The Danfoss ICF valve station requires a minimum of space compared to conventional valve trains, and that is exactly the reason why Budweiser Ziyang factory in China chose the Danfoss ICF Valve Stations”.
