Leaf Spring Antivibration Mounts Suit Military Use

ACC's elliptic leaf spring antivibration mounts are impervious to corrosion and will operate under a range of temperatures, making them suited for shipboard or mobile applications. Their basic design employs two or more high-range tensile stainless-steel U formed leaves situated at each end, forming an elliptical shape when joined together in the centre portion with face plates. The spaces between the U formed leaves are filled with a specially developed polymer or stainless-steel mesh.

The leaves in these mounts, identified as V10Z70 Series, are made of 304 stainless steel and the washers are made of nylon and stainless steel. The damping compound is made of polymer for the X mounts and stainless-steel mesh for the XM mounts. They will suit a range of applications, including: military applications, air compressors, engine suspension, shipboard electronics and equipment, radar communication equipment, electronic control equipment, bomb and other lifting gear, mobile vehicles, pumps, blowers and fans.

AAC stocks a range of shock and vibration isolation products, which include: stud- and nut-type mounts, base-plate fastened mounts, wheels, levelling and foot mounts, suspension mounts, spring, steel mesh and cable mounts, bumpers and channel mounts, bushings and grommets, pads and tapes, and couplings. These products are stocked in such materials as rubber, neoprene, urethane, sorbothane, stainless-steel mesh and springs. Many are suitable for use in extreme environmental conditions.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
