Eriks Launches All-Round Synchronous Belt Drive

Eriks has announced the introduction of the Conti Synchrochain 'one-for-all' belt drive solution, an all-round synchronous belt for arduous applications. The Conti Synchrochain can be used where it is essential to have not only maximum power transmission, but also maximum resistance to an adverse working environment. It can also be used as an alternative to chain drives, as no lubrication is required.

In contrast to other synchronous belts, which can be noisy and wear out pulleys, it is said to be quieter and less aggressive due its CTD profile and the special finishing layer on its working surfaces. Conti Synchrochain ensures reliable power transmission for high torques and high dynamic stresses. In addition, it is very hard wearing, resistant to moisture, works between -40C and +100C temperatures and has good chemical stability. The belt is said to maintain reliable, maintenance-free performance even when exposed to harsh elements and aggressive substances such as salt, oil, grease and abrasive solid matter.
