IDM Instrument Tests Book-Binding Strength

At a weight of 50kg, IDM has designed the Page Pull Tester to measure the strength required to pull pages out of bound books and magazines. The force is displayed on the digital read out; thus ensuring a quality bound book is provided to customers. The aluminium base plate, with marked guidelines is used for central positioning of the book before testing to ensure consistent results.

This Page Pull Tester can be used for books and magazines to ensure that correct procedures have been adopted for the binding of pages. It can be used for books with a maximum thickness of 60mm and with a maximum width of 300mm. With a powder-coated, sturdy construction and a pneumatic operation, this machine is designed to last for a lifetime.

The Page Pull Tester features a digital force gauge with peak hold function and capacity/resolution of 500 x 0.5N. The machine also comes with an optional Spacer Block and can be built to custom sizes to suit larger books and magazines.
