Adept Shows Robot For High-Speed Packaging

Adept will be showcasing its Quattro s650H robot for high-speed automated packaging applications at the Propak China 2010 event in Shanghai on 14-16 July 2010. The technology will be demonstrated in a high-performance, flexible small-product handling system designed by the company's partner Austong Intelligent Robot Technology. Austong will be demonstrating a high-speed parts-handling and packaging system utilising the Adept Quattro s650H robot with integrated vision guidance and inspection.

The s650H parallel robot is designed for high-speed manufacturing, packaging, materials-handling and assembly applications, and is said to be the only robot in the world that features a four-arm rotational platform. The design is said to deliver maximum speed, maximum acceleration and exceptional performance across the entire work envelope. Powerful compact controls and embedded amplifiers also make installation easy, while reducing work cell and overall factory footprint requirements. The Quattro robot is USDA accepted and is ideal for applications such as raw-food handling, flexible packaging, material handling, kitting and assembly applications where performance is paramount.
