3D Mice Support Medical Applications

The range of 3D mice from 3Dconnexion is now supported by five new medical applications. 3Dconnexion 3D mice is said to provide medical professionals working in OsiriX Imaging Software, Cyfex AG Secret Ear Designer and 3Shape's Hearing Instrument System, Dental System and Ortho System a better level of control than a traditional mouse and keyboard. Whether visualising the multidimensional images of a Cardiac-CT or modelling anatomical crowns and bridges, precise control of imagery or models is vital to performance.

These 3D mice allow medical professionals to simultaneously pan, zoom and rotate as if they are holding the imagery or model in their hand. 3Dconnexion's 3D mice are capable of detecting input as small as four micrometres. Programmable buttons on these 3D mice provide quick access to commonly used application commands, enabling users to focus more on the medical imagery and models that they are working with. Medical professionals can also focus more on visualising imagery or models to aid in the detection of critical issues.

The entire 3Dconnexion product line is compatible with these applications, including the Professional Series with the Spacepilot Pro and Spaceexplorer, as well as the Standard Series with the Spacenavigator and Spacenavigator for Notebooks.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
