Mykal Solves Powder Problem for Water Pumps

Mykal has recommended the use of Aquasolv Spray Wash Cleaner-Multi Metal (Aqua 12) after a company reported a problem of residues left on water pumps when using a powder-based cleaner. Mykal was recently approached by a manufacturer of water pumps and equipment for the fire service with a degreasing process problem. The manufacturer had purchased a new front-loading spray washer to clean completed pumps.

However, the powder-based cleaner it had been using caused problems with residues left on the pumps after the removal of light oils. Mykal recommended Aquasolv Spray Wash Cleaner-Multi Metal (Aqua 12) as a concentrated liquid alternative to the powder. Spray Wash Cleaner-Multi Metal (Aqua 12) is an interstage process degreaser for ferrous and non-ferrous metals without the threat of staining or darkening.

This neutral liquid cleaner can be used in high-pressure cleaning operations and can be rinsed prior to any production stages. Following tests with an eight per cent solution that gave excellent cleaning results, the company has now placed regular orders for Spray Wash Cleaner-Multi Metal and is using it in several wash units.
