PDF3D Version 2 Compatible with Adobe Reader X

VTS' PDF3D is confirmed to be compatible with Adobe Reader X (version 10), including the highly compressed 3D PDF document platform offering more secure viewing and comment markup. PDF3D Version 2 is compatible with the latest Adobe Reader X (version 10) including high-performance PRC (Product Representation Compact) encoding for 3D models. The latest Adobe Reader X can open and display any 3D PDF document using the Protected Mode for improved security, and enable markup commenting tools that can be saved and shared with others.

Employing PDF3D geometric tolerance based PRC encoding, Acrobat and Adobe Reader X-compatible 3D generation is available with immediate effect. Coupled with the latest viewing platform, PDF3D documents may now be protected for more secure environments, while allowing full 3D interactive menus, animation and annotations following ISO-24517-1:2008 PDF/Engineering draft standard. The security of 'Protected Mode' helps safeguard software and data from potentially malicious attacks. Comments, notes and review feedback can be saved to file as highlighted bubbles, sticky notes or highlighted text on any PDF page and distributed to remote members of a review team.

PDF3D generates 3D PDFs using the PDF3D Reportgen desktop application or with PDF3D-SDK (Software Development Kit) on Windows and Linux 64-bit platforms serving the needs of technical, scientific, aerospace, general machinery, automotive and manufacturing communities, as rich 3D PDF documents with Adobe Reader X-compatible compression enable expanded workflows, make new applications possible and extend the reach to remote enterprise teams and clients.
