Gesipa to Exhibit Blind Riveting Systems

Gesipa Blind Riveting Systems will be showcasing its extensive range of fixing systems at Southern Manufacturing 2011. Blind rivets only require access from one side of the assembly. Another feature is that there is no heat degrading or damage to surface, which may be particularly important when pre-finished materials are assembled. Dissimilar materials may be joined and the technology adapts between low-volume manual assembly and totally automated bandolier-fed systems.

Gesipa Blind Riveting Systems has widened the basic technology to incorporate blind nut and stud fixing. This means studs can now be fixed to pre-finished materials without the surface damage associated with stud welding. Today, a vast array of rivets can be supplied in many different materials, steel, stainless, aluminium and copper. There are many different designs to suit different applications; for example, joining plastics to steel.

In fact, the catalogue contains more than 2,500 different sizes and type of rivet. If the quantities justify the investment, even customer-specific designs can be produced. To fix the rivets, hand tools, electric and pneumatic tools, power tools, right up to dedicated fully automated systems capable of fixing up to 45 rivets per minute, can be used. Extensive test facilities can verify the performance of any recommended solution.
