Insteng Distributes Flir Systems Infrared Cameras

Flir has announced the appointment of Insteng Process Automation as a multi-range thermal imaging camera distributor. Insteng is responsible for seven ranges of infrared cameras, extending from the troubleshooting compact models, through the mid-range professional series, to the top-of-the-range expert cameras for advanced predictive maintenance. The Insteng product programme also includes Flir cameras dedicated for building inspection and also fixed-mounted models for process automation and control.

Aiden Farrelly from Insteng, said: 'The great thing about the Flir infrared cameras is that they save users money. 'Flir has made thermal imaging much more accessible now so smaller businesses, such as plumbers and electricians, can benefit from the technology. 'They can massively cut costs through infrared predictive maintenance and building inspections. 'Minor problems are easily diagnosed and corrected before they develop into costly failures.

'Swift return on investment is assured, making Flir infrared cameras highly cost-effective,' Farrelly added. Insteng, with its focus on process control and automation, is said to be well placed to maximise the potential of the Flir fixing infrared cameras. Farrelly said: 'These cameras provide a means of constantly assessing and reviewing the more sensitive areas of industry.

'Customers recognise how beneficial thermal imaging can be in this regard and the demand for this technology is now substantial,' he added. Insteng is also able to add value to the supply of Flir thermal imaging cameras. For many years, its certified thermographers have provided an on-site infrared inspection service, experience that now enables Insteng to offer training and comprehensive post-sale support to its infrared customers.
