Aker Awarded Goliat Tie-in and Connector Contract

Aker Solutions has been awarded the tie-in and connector scope associated with the Goliat flowlines and risers contract by Technip Norway. The scope of work includes the outboard remote tie-in system termination heads and associated equipment. The equipment will be used to tie in the flowlines, pipelines and flexible jumpers to the manifolds, flowline t-junctions (ILTs) and riser bases on the Goliat field in the Barents Sea, northwest of Hammerfest, Norway.

The contract comes in addition to Aker Solutions having been awarded the Goliat subsea production system last year by ENI. The company was also awarded the direct electrical heating contract for the Goliat project earlier this year, under Technip's flowlines and risers contract. The project will be executed and manufactured mainly in Norway, with the delivery of the final equipment expected during Q2 2013. The contract party is Aker Subsea.
