Expanda-Seal Reduces Emissions and Odours
Shand and Jurs has launched Expanda-Seal, a seal on pressure-relief devices that is said to reduce emissions and odours in every process environment. The Expanda-Seal pallets are tested to 0.5scfh or less at 95 per cent of the set point, equating to 100 per cent less vapour release. Industry standards have a tested leakage rate of 1scfh at 90 per cent of set point.
The Expanda-Seal uses internal vessel pressure to inflate the pallet gasket, which creates a tighter seal the closer the pressure gets to the set point. The seal can be applied to virtually any Shand and Jurs pressure devices, including conservation vents, pressure-relief vents, emergency vents, and the combination conservation vent and flame arresters.
