High-speed vibratory feeder for plastic spouts

Elscint Automation, a vibratory parts feeder manufacturer, has developed a special bowl for feeding of plastic spouts that are required for the packing of pouches. Feeding of spouts at a high speed is a challenge because, in most cases, the weight on the top and bottom of the spouts is almost the same.

However, Elscint has developed a special bowl that can orient the spouts in the required manner, either cap up or cap forward, and feed them at speeds of up to 150 spouts a minute. The Model 250, 250 EV or 400 can be used for this task, depending upon the size of the spout, the speed required and the loading quantity required in the bowl. Elscint can also offer a linear track for further feeding of the spouts up to the machine of the manufacturer.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
