Course Evaluates Vibration and Shock Testing
The Equipment Reliability Institute (ERI) has announced a course entitled 'Fundamentals of Random Vibration and Shock Testing, HALT, ESS, HASS'. Wayne Tustin will be hosting the course and topics under discussion will include earthquakes, the severe vibrations aboard rockets, spacecraft and satellites en route to orbit, as well as the vibrations of automobiles and other land vehicles.
The course will also deal with accelerometers, used in measuring vibrations over the road, over the waves, in flight and during rocket launch and powered flight, as at the Vandenberg Air Force Base. The course will meet at: DFR Solutions in College Park Maryland, from 19-21 April 2011, 8am to 4pm; and NTS in Newark California, from 10-12 May 2011, 8am to 4pm.
