Management and Control System for Solar PV Plants
Carlo Gavazzi will be demonstrating its versatile Eos-Array modular management and control system for solar photovoltaic (PV) plants on at Nemex from 24-26 May. Also on show will be a range of accurate and reliable energy meters and analysers for renewable energy systems. A team of industry experts will be on hand to answer technical queries. The Eos-Array controller is flexible, easily scalable and is made up of a series of modular elements to provide efficient local and remote control of a solar plant, targeting small to medium- or high-power installations.
With no auxiliary bus wiring, the system is simple to install and straightforward to expand. Further cost saving is provided by the integrated string fuse protection and modularity also improves overall system reliability. String efficiency and inverters are monitored enabling operators to rapidly isolate faults, failures and inefficiencies as soon as they occur. The compact Carlo Gavazzi Eos-Array can help maximise ROI by optimising PV performance with innovative controls and monitoring. The expandable system gathers accurate and dependable data to help maintain an efficient revenue stream from a PV installation.
The controller promptly advises on activities such as blown fuses, PV module disconnection or inverter failure to enable rapid maintenance measures to be carried out, significantly reducing service time and missed production costs. There is no monthly charge for the data, which is stored on site locally, giving the user full control. The EM-series of energy meters and analysers are designed for use with PV and wind power grid-connected systems and feature a number of benefits such as a wide and bright display, compact size, easy connection and easy programming using dedicated software.
On show will be the EM10 one-phase energy meter, EM11 one-phase network analyser, EM24 1/2/3-phase energy analyser, EM26 energy analyser with 1/2/3-phase energy meter connection, EM21 three-phase energy meter with detachable display and the EM23 three-phase energy analyser. Meters are available with MID certification (Annex D).
