Genevac System Improves ASE Workflow

Genevac has launched the Flip-Flop system, designed to improve post-Accelerated Solvent Extraction (ASE) concentration and preparation of samples. Using the double-ended Flip-Flop tube, samples can be collected directly from a Dionex ASE system. A Samplegenie adaptor with GC vial is then fitted. The tube is flipped over and placed into the Puck sample holder in a Genevac Rocket Evaporator and the cap removed.

The samples are then concentrated directly into a GC autosampler vial. The Genevac Rocket Evaporator enables rapid concentration or evaporation of up to 18 Dionex ASE vials simultaneously. In addition, using Genevac's proprietary Samplegenie technology in conjunction with the Rocket Evaporator enables samples to be concentrated directly into an autosampler or storage vial, eliminating the need for manual sample transfer.

According to Genevac, addition of the new Flip-Flop system completes the automation of transfers from ASE vials. Using this procedure eliminates manual transfer steps and helps automate the ASE evaporation and concentration process, resulting in improved laboratory workflow, increased reproducibility of results and enhanced sample recovery.
