Voltage Regulators Give Phase Control of Receivers

Transfer Multisort Elektronik's RH and RV voltage regulators provide phase control of single-phase receivers with the maximum power consumption of up to 12A/250V AC. The RV-10 regulator has a 10kohm embedded potentiometer, whereas the RV-10 range allows to control voltage and current analogue signals. It has the following features: RV-10-A - can be controlled by 0-5V DC signal or external potentiometer; RV-10-B - can be controlled by 0-10V DC signal; RV-10-C - can be controlled by a 0-20mA signal; RV-10-D - can be controlled by 4-20mA signal.

All products have galvanically isolated inputs and outputs and embedded protective systems - RC spark suppressor and varistor. Every type is equipped with a lock, allowing its assembly on a DIN bus, and the width of 72mm and height of 91mm makes them more universal. The power input by the equipment is approximately 2.5V A. Nominal operating temperature range is 0-50 C and relative humidity is 25-85 per cent.

Typical applications include: single-phase motors for rotary speed control - for example mixers, fans; illumination brightness control; furnace single-phase heaters temperature control; transformers primary side voltage control; and any single-phase application with the load capacity of up to 12A at 250V AC.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
