SDM Screw-Driven Module for Harsh Environments

Hepcomotion has introduced the SDM screw-driven module, which is designed to offer reliable and cost-effective in-line linear actuation in single or Z-axis movement. The module is rigid, precise and there is no risk of back driving. Hepcomotion LBG linear ball guide technology ensures the SDM's suitability for high loads and demanding duty cycles.

The inclusion of a ballscrew provides a high order of stiffness and precision, according to Hepcomotion. SDM is said to be suitable for harsh industrial environments; a stainless-steel band runs along the length of the beam, preventing the ingress of dirt and debris. High lead ballscrew drive and clean-room versions are also available.
