Invicta Brochure Details Vibrator Range

Invicta Vibrators has released a comprehensive, four-colour product brochure featuring its range of rotary electric, rotary hydraulic, and pneumatic piston vibrators. The publication is printed in English, French and German. Complete technical data are presented in an easy-to-read format. Details of the international standards and certifications applicable to each vibrator design are indicated in separate sections.

Invicta's various series of rotary electric vibrators comprise two-, four-, six- and eight-pole versions designed for use both in non-hazardous locations and, appropriately certified, in environments containing potentially hazardous, flammable dusts, gases, vapours and mists. The mechanical outputs available in the standard range extend from 22kgf (216N) to 23,000kgf (225,630N).

An output range of 2,700kgf (26,487N) to 10,500kgf (103,000N) is currently available for the hydraulic vibrators, whereas the pneumatic vibrator series offers mechanical outputs ranging from 13kgf to 8,240kgf. Details of single-flange vibrators, special products and Invicta's electrical control equipment are also included in the brochure, as are guidelines for the installation of piston vibrators and technical advice on the selection of rotary electric vibrators.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
