Air Atomising Nozzle Suits High-Viscosity Fluids

The XA ER nozzle from Bete provides a full-cone round spray pattern for liquids with a high viscosity (100+ cP), complementing the existing XA EF nozzle that produces a flat fan spray pattern. The nozzle operates with an external mix, meaning the exit orifice can be larger to allow for viscous fluids to be sprayed. As it is a liquid pressure-fed nozzle (as opposed to siphon fed), the flow rate is not dependent on the air pressure, resulting in easier control.

It can be specified in a choice of standard materials including nickel-plated brass, 303 or 316 stainless steel. A typical application is ozonating water, in which the water could be at 5psi and the ozone at 60psi. This would not be possible with a traditional internal mix nozzle, due to its inability to cope with such a large difference between the liquid and the gas pressure. The XA ER nozzle also facilitates gas cooling and injecting viscous liquids into gas streams containing powder particles, in order for the droplets to coat the powder.
