Lite-On Technology Corporation wins “Corporate Citizenship” Award from Common Wealth Magazine for 6th Straight Year

Lite-On Technology Corporation has won a Corporate Citizenship Award from Common Wealth Magazine for the sixth year in a row. This year, Lite-On was awarded the third place Corporate Social Responsibility Award in the Large Technology Companies category. Lite-On scored 2nd highest in Social Involvement and 3rd in Environmental Protection among 2,000 companies. This recognition is attributable to Lite-On’s continuous efforts to implement Corporate Social Environmental Responsibility (CSER) policies and its outstanding performance in that respect, especially for long-term public welfare programs, e.g., the implementation of the Lite-On Award, Community Volunteer Team, and leading the establishment of the “Taiwan Corporate International Sustainability Coalition”.

Making every effort to be a good corporate citizen, while simultaneously concentrating on sales and profits as engines of growth, Lite-On has succeeded in putting active CSER programs into practice. Lite-On has built up its EICC (Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition) management system, in strict compliance with the rules and regulations and with strong business execution. In 2011, it was also selected as a leading member of the 2011/2012 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), listed in both DJSI-World and DJSI-Asia Pacific. Not only was Lite-On the only Taiwan company selected in the Electronic Component and Equipment (ELQ) sector, but it was ranked first, an Industry Leader among all companies named in the sector.
