Lantronix and OKI Data Americas to Co-Market xPrintServer, Further Enhancing Wireless iOS Printing Capabilities

Lantronix (Nasdaq: LTRX), a leading global provider of smart M2M connectivity solutions, today announced its alliance with OKI Data Americas, a leading printing solutions provider, to co-market its award-winning xPrintServer™ family of iOS print server appliances. With this agreement, OKI becomes the first printer manufacturer entering into such an alliance with Lantronix.

The alliance comes at a time when iPad® use is expected to nearly double this year and overall iOS adoption continues within the enterprise and education markets. OKI will refer the xPrintServer to its large network of customers, resellers and distributors that are seeking mobile printing solutions. Conversely, Lantronix will refer OKI’s products to members of its network that are in need of customized printing solutions.

“The Lantronix xPrintServer offers a compelling value proposition for OKI in the mobile printing arena,” said Keith Fenton, product planning manager - MFP Software and Solutions at OKI Data Americas. “Every day, more and more customers are demanding iOS printing solutions - not just for new printers and multi-function devices, but for legacy equipment as well. From its slick design to its incredible ease-of-use, the Lantronix xPrintServer is an affordable and viable mobile printing solution.”

As printing solutions specialists, OKI provides world-class printing technology and real-world solutions designed to help manage workflow and optimize performance. By referring xPrintServer solutions from Lantronix, OKI helps to ensure Apple compatibility with many OKI printers and MFPs. The xPrintServer also provides controls to help administrators manage access to networked and wireless-enabled printers. This is an especially vital tool for offices and schools that are looking to manage the document output of numerous mobile devices.

“OKI is a leader in the printer space and has already proven to be an outstanding sales, distribution and marketing partner,” said Mark D. Tullio, vice president of worldwide marketing for Lantronix. “With our technology and OKI’s track record of developing innovative printing solutions, we anticipate even more co-marketing and promotional opportunities over the coming year.”
