66% Smaller SR731H Current Sense Chip Resistor from KOA Speer

KOA Speer Electronics, Inc. announces the new 0201 size in their SR73 current sense chip resistor line. Measuring just 0.6 x 0.3 x 0.1 mm, the 0201 size chip is 66% smaller than the 0402 size chip resistor, making it perfect for applications where miniaturization of thick film current sense components is required.

KOA Speer’s new thick film 0201-SR731H resistor has a power rating of 0.10 Watts, a T.C.R. of 0 ~ 500ppm/ºC and a low-Ohm resistance range of 0.18 – 10?. The new resistor size also has tolerances of +/-1 or +/-5%, with a maximum overload voltage of 2.5V and an absolute max. working voltage of 1.0V. The miniature size of the new 0201 device makes the chip ideal for applications such as computers, HDDs, cellular phones, power supplies and motor circuits. The SR73 current sense chip resistor is also available in the following sizes: 0402, 0603, 0802, 1206, 1210, 2010 and 2512.

Pricing ranges from $ 0.14 to $0.16 and is dependent upon specifications and quantity.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
