VCO Ideal For Ultra-Low Phase Noise Applications
Z-Communications has launched the RoHS-compliant model CLV0986E-LF voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) for fixed wireless and test and measurement applications. The CLV0986E-LF operates at 971-1,002MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5-4.5VDC. The VCO features a typical phase noise of -113dBc/Hz at 10KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 18MHz/V. The CLV0986E-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 0dBm at 5VDC supply while drawing 20mA (typical) over the temperature range of -40C to 85C.
The VCO features typical second harmonic suppression of -20dBc and comes in Z-Communications' standard Mini-14S-L package measuring 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.13in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The CLV0986E-LF is also said to be ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow. It is well suited for fixed wireless and test and measurement applications that require ultra-low phase noise performance.
