Methane Leak Detector Ideal For Hazardous Areas

Crowcon Detection Instruments has launched the Lasermethane Mini Generation2 (Gen2), which is Atex-approved to detect methane leaks at a distance in industrial and mining applications. Utilising laser technology, Lasermethane Mini Gen2 allows detection of methane leaks from up to 100m, removing the need to access fenced-off, high-level or other hard-to-reach areas.

Lasermethane Mini Gen2 is portable and easy to use with an intuitive menu and full-colour LCD with numeric or graphical display. Crowcon said it enables what was once a time- and resource-consuming activity to be completed in seconds. Lasermethane Mini Gen2 now includes extended battery life, enhanced visual and audible gas alarms and is targeted at hazardous areas such as petrochemical refineries, pipeline surveys, landfill monitoring, industrial and commercial property surveys and emergency callouts.
