Citizen Wins Mill/Turn Center Orders At Mach 2010

Citizen Machinery has revealed that it has received orders worth more than GBP500,000 for Citizen and Miyano mill/turn centres during and following Mach 2010. There were nine machines on the Citizen-Miyano stand, of which four were new product launches, while the other machines benefitted from control and software upgrades.

Three Citizen A20 and A32 CNC sliding head mill-turn centres were ordered by subcontract companies at the show, a Miyano BNJ-51 by a specialist company in Manchester and a Citizen R07 was chosen by a French customer.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
