Haydon Kerk Launches Micro-Sized Lead Screws

Haydon Kerk, a provider of solutions for linear motion applications, has launched a range of micro-sized lead screws. Standard configurations in the Micro Series include 2mm-diameter screws with leads ranging from 0.3mm to 2mm per revolution and a variety of nut configurations of self-lubricating acetal and Kerkite high-performance composite polymers.

The Micro Series enables the miniaturisation of products, reduced power consumption and weight reduction without sacrificing performance or reliability, according to the company. The lead screws are available as standalone components or integrated into the Haydon linear actuators.

Made of premium-grade 303 stainless steel, Micro Series lead screw assemblies offer a long life and require no maintenance. Haydon Kerk claims that high-accuracy threads with excellent uniformity deliver precise motion and reduce noise and vibration. An optional Kerkote TFE coating, a dry lubricant, extends nut life while reducing friction and drive torque requirements.
