Seals Shield Instruments From Caustic Media
Ashcroft Instruments has added two new types of diaphragm seals - the 510 and 511 - to its line of media isolators aimed at protecting instruments from caustic media. The economical, all-welded seals protect pressure gauges, transmitters, switches and other instruments against the potentially harmful effects of caustic media. The seals are available for use with ranges from vacuum through 5,000psi.
The 510 and 511 seals can be threaded onto any 1/2 NPT fitting or welded directly to eliminate the possibility of leakage. Other features include a choice of diaphragm materials and fill fluids, and a lower housing flush port (type 511). Each seal includes dual wrench flats for easy installation with either a 27mm or 1 1/8in wrench.
