Pressure Sensors Can Be Used With Corrosive Gases

Sensortechnics' SSI stainless-steel OEM pressure sensors accurately measure gauge or absolute pressures in ranges from 200mbar up to 35bar and are targeted for use with corrosive liquids and gases. These devices achieve a Total Error Band (TEB) better than +/-1.5 per cent FSS over a temperature range of -20 to 85C.

Sensortechnics' SSI pressure sensors use precision digital signal conditioning and provide analogue 0.5-4.5V output, as well as digital IC or SPI interfaces. Fully welded, media-isolated, rugged stainless-steel constructions allow for high media compatibility. Available packaging options include diaphragm versions with weld ring, or housings with G 1/8 threaded pressure ports. Sensortechnics' customisation service can provide mechanical or electronic modifications of its SSI pressure-sensor series to fit each customer's application-specific requirements.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
