Power Supplies Meet Security System Requirements

Ecopac Power has launched the SCP-35, SCP-50 and SCP-75 series of Mean Well AC/DC enclosed power products, which are designed specifically the security industry. Featuring energy saving and constant voltage output, these power supplies provide battery charging as well as a direct AC/DC supply. The Mean Well SCP-series has been designed to meet all the requirements of security systems from access control, alarm systems and any application that requires battery backup.

In addition, the SCP series may improve working efficiency by up to 12 per cent and is designed with low 'no load power consumption' of less than 0.75W. The SCP-series offers a full universal input of 85-264V AC and up to 86 per cent efficiency; they will operate up to 60C of high ambient temperature with only free air convection. In a change from the normal design of enclosed power supplies, the SCP-series is supplied with both terminal blocks and wires for output connection, thus providing greater flexibility for installation engineers.

Additional functions include battery voltage detection, battery temperature compensation (by external NTC thermistor), battery polarity protection (by fuse), as well as protections for short circuit, overload and over voltage. The Mean Well SCP-series complies with worldwide safety certificates UL, CUL, CB and CE, and has been designed for applications such as security systems, access control systems, emergency lighting, alarm systems and central monitoring systems.
