Liquiline Transmitter Measures Six Parameters

The Liquiline M CM442 multi-parameter analytical transmitter with Memosens digital sensors from Endress and Hauser is said to reduce inventory and stock handling and minimise costs. The CM442 retains technology familiar to users of the company's previous Liquiline M transmitters, such as user-friendly operation, easy-to-read display and robust housings. In addition, the transmitter has the additional advantage of being suitable for use with pH, ORP, conductivity, DO, turbidity and nitrate sensors.

The Liquiline/Memosens system is available in its most basic form as a two-sensor input, single alarm relay safe area solution, but users can easily expand the system with additional inputs and alarms. Endress and Hauser said standardisation and uniformity are also key strengths of the Liquiline systems. Achieved by implementing the digital Memosens protocol into the fixed cable sensors, all sensors now use the same standardised protocol for total data and mechanical interface compatibility and increased process safety.

When used together, any combination of different types of digital sensors, cables, holders and assemblies results in a measurement solution tailored to the user's requirements. This modular concept means that Endress and Hauser devices are easily adapted to different applications and requirements, giving more flexibility across the plant. Based on Memosens digital technology, all sensors can be pre-calibrated under laboratory conditions.

Featuring automatic sensor recognition, commissioning and maintenance tasks are simplified - both sensor and electronics replacement is said to be quick and easy, maximising operational capacity. In addition, if there is a problem with a process, Liquiline will notify users immediately via its automated alarm signal and red display. Process interruptions are minimised through the clear failure description and menu-guided instructions.
