Embedded Systems Allow Fast Network Communications

Aaeon has launched its line of Flexible Embedded Systems (FES) to enable faster network communications on a limited budget. The FES-5120 is an x86-based system controller that adopts the Intel Atom N270 Processor (up to 1.6GHz) and features the Intel 945GSE and ICH7M chipset. The system memory equips a 240-pin Non-ECC DDR II 400/533 DIMM socket (up to 2GB) and consists of one Gigabit Ethernet for faster network communications.

It also deploys multiple storage-device options (2.5in SATA HDD, CF) with a mechanical design service window to ensure safe data and better on-site service support. The unit's compact size allows it to be wall mounted and to fit into space-limited areas. Although the FES-6110 is a compact system, it carries enriched I/Os such as four COM ports, six USB 2.0 slots and an 8-bit Digital I/O for a flexible connection with inside and outside devices.
