Cissoid Launches MOSFET For Aircraft Actuators
Cissoid has introduced the Earth high-temperature 80V N-channel power MOSFET Transistor for applications in industrial process control, car-battery chargers and aircraft actuators. Guaranteed for operation from -55 up to 225C, the device is available in two versions, rated respectively for 5 and 10A maximum drain current. Both versions of Earth MOSFETs, referenced CHT-NMOS8005 and CHT-NMOS8010, exhibit high-temperature performances.
At 225C, CHT-NMOS8005's gate-leakage current remains below 500nA, while its drain-off current is as low as 20uA and its turn-on delay time is 30ns. On-resistance and input capacitance of the line ranges respectively from 0.25 to 0.5ohms and from 410 to 850pF. Cissoid's Earth range enables the design of any system requiring reliable power control in a harsh environment from -55C to +225C. This includes motor drivers, DC-DC converters, SMPS and inverters.
With either version of this Cissoid power MOSFET, system designers can improve cost, reliability and weightm while eliminating the need for fluid cooling. The CHT-NMOS8005 and CHT-NMOS8010 are available immediately for sampling and evaluation in TO-254 metal-can packaging.
