Catalogue Features Tank Equipment For Hygienic Use

Alfa Laval's sanitary-product catalogue features its complete range of sanitary pumps, valves, heat exchangers, separators, fittings and tank equipment for use in hygienic industries. Hard bound and containing more than 1,200 pages, the full-colour catalogue is also available online. A key feature of the web version of the book is its high degree of interactivity.

Using on-screen controls, the interactive web version allows the reader to bookmark and save individual pages, zoom in and out, and search using the formal index or the dedicated search feature. A toolbox also enables notation using a virtual pencil, marker or sticky note, while a Snapshot tool can be used to capture images of complete pages or individual parts of a page, such as a product description or picture. The complete book, or individual pages or images, can then be emailed to colleagues straight from the catalogue.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
