24VDC Gearmotor Suits Harsh Environments
Midwest Motion Products has launched the model MMP TM57-24V GP52-195, a 24VDC gearmotor suitable for harsh environments in alternative energy equipment, electric utility vehicles and more. The fully reversible gearmotor is totally enclosed, creating an IP54 sealed assembly, suitable for use in many harsh environments. The design features a high-efficiency planetary gearing, high output torque to size and weight ratio, low speed and low noise in a compact, lightweight 24VDC gearmotor.
Typical applications for the gearmotor include: alternative energy equipment, including wind and solar; linear actuators; automotive accessories; autonomous vehicles; UGVs; UUVs; material handling equipment; moving target equipment; rotating signage; mobility and accessibility equipment; and battery powered electric utility vehicles. This unit is able to develop its full continuous output torque of 214in/lb (24Nm) at 23 rev/min (and a Peak torque of 443in/lb) while consuming 3.8A of current. This translates to a long battery life, smooth and quiet operation, and lower-cost drive electronics.
