EAO Announces New Switching Options for Machinery Market

EAO, the expert partner for Human Machine Interfaces, expands the Series 04 range of high-performance 22.5mm switches with a choice of new accessories to suit for the machinery, process control and automation industries.

A new protective shroud is now available for the emergency-stop (E-stop) that prevents against accidental operation, a safety feature especially important for semiconductor equipment. The shroud features an anti-rotational pin plus the ability to lock the switch in position with a padlock after actuation. It is moulded from non-breakable Lexan plastic for exceptional durability – a characteristic of all Series 04 products.

Wiring and assembly is now even easier with the addition of new ‘push-in terminal’ (PIT) contact blocks. They feature a secure Phoenix Contact spring terminal. There are key advantages over conventional wiring: no assembly tools are required and there’s better resistance to vibration.  The elements are stackable, providing the flexibility to use up to six contacts per switch. They enhance the overall value of the series and are offered in both snap-action and slow-make contact styles.

The Series 04 range comprises pushbuttons, indicators, keylocks, selector switches, and emergency stop switches. They are sealed against dust and moisture to IP65 and operate in temperatures from -25°C to 55°C. All products comply with international standards including CE, RoHS, CB – EN/IEC 60947-5-1, UL (pending for PIT), NFF 16-102, CSA, CCC, GOST, German Lloyd.
