The Murex Tradestig AC220 portable welding unit offers welders an ideal solution for a wide range of TIG AC/DC welding applications.  It is ideal for repair and maintenance jobs, garages, bodyshops, aerospace, sheet metalwork and process engineering.  A Tradestig AC220 welding package is currently available at an attractive price with a Saffire single stage TIG regulator and welding electrodes. 

The Tradestig AC 220 is a compact, impact resistant machine that is also light and easy to carry.  Built in accordance with IP23, it can be used indoors and outside for a range of welding jobs.  A key feature is the Power Factor Correction (PFC) which makes it possible to use the full range of the machine on a 16 A fuse.  The PFC also protects the machine against fluctuating mains voltage and makes it safer to use with a generator.  In both AC and DC mode the Tradestig AC 220 will give an excellent arc strike and consistent, stable arc.  All types of material and thickness up to 5 mm can be welded with the highest quality.  An easy to use control panels provides the necessary functions for TIG DC, AC/DC and MMA welding.  The QWave™ function optimises AC welding, giving a smooth and stable arc and the lowest possible noise without compromising the weld result.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
