Aimtecs 20 Watt DC/DC Converters reach 50 W/in³ Power Density
The AM20C(W)-Z series 20 watt DC/DC power supplies from Aimtec, now available at MSC Vertriebs GmbH, feature a ultra compact 1” x 1” x 0.39” package resulting in the very high power density of 50 W/in³ (3,05 W/cm³). They provide a real estate saving of up to 50% compared to standard 20 W converters in the market.
The AM20C-Z series is available with 2:1 input voltages of 9~18 V, 18~36 V and 36~75 V, while the AM20CW-Z series features ultra-wide 4:1 input ranges of 9~36 V and 18~75 V for use in a large range of industrial, commercial, residential and IT applications. Highly regulated single and dual output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12 and 15 VDC are precisely controlled with a tight load regulation of ±0.5% for the single output models and ±1% for the dual output models, with no minimum load required.
With an I/O isolation of 1600 VDC, these robust converters additional output protections include continuous short circuit protection with auto-recovery restart, over current and over voltage protection with a strict line regulation of ±0.2%.
Both the AM20C-Z and the AM20CW-Z are designed to operate within a wide industrial operating temperature range of -40 °C to +75 °C, which is essential for ensuring reliable product performance in the extreme weather conditions associated with outdoor applications. Positive logic remote ON/OFF functionality adds value for portable power applications by helping to conserve the devices precious battery power.
