Molex UL2237-Compliant Brad® Power Solutions Simplify Assembly and Boost Machine Performance
Molex Incorporated offers machine builders a complete line of Brad® modular power solutions featuring rugged, molded trunk cables for feeder circuits up to 30A, 600V AC/DC and molded drop cables for branch power distribution circuits up to 15A, 600V AC/DC. Designed in compliance with the National Fire Protection Association’s NFPA-79 Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery, Brad power components from Molex are UL2237 (PVVA) listed for use in motor branch circuits. The Brad portfolio will be highlighted at Pack Expo (booth S7115), September 26–28, Las Vegas, NV.
“Ideal for replacing machine hard wiring, the UL2237-compliant Brad quick-connect modules comprise crush-resistant, pre-wired cordsets with factory-molded connectors. The result is a robust, scalable and easy-to-install power distribution system that does not require the specialized tools and skilled labor typically associated with traditional conduit installations,” explains Ted Kyriazes, global product manager, Molex.
Brad power solutions serve a range of industries, including food and beverage processing, packaging and material handling, automotive assembly and pharmaceuticals. Delivering significant operational advantages over conduit-based hard wiring, Brad wiring systems:
Quick-connect Brad connectors and cordsets support rapid field wiring. All connectors feature an extended ground conductor pin, which meets the requirement for first-mate/last-break. Brad cordsets are built with TC-ER cable (Tray-Rated, Exposed Run).
“Where multiple machines are involved, assembly of Brad modular systems is consistent and easily replicable. Integrated Brad power products ensure fully code-compliant applications with the unsurpassed performance that the industry has come to expect from the Brad name,” adds Kyriazes.
