Extronics Launches New Hazardous Area Camera - iCAM501 Ultra

Extronics, a leading designer and manufacturer of intrinsically safe and explosion proof equipment today announced the launch of their latest digital camera for hazardous areas - the iCAM501 Ultra.  Building on the outstanding success of the original iCAM501, the ULTRA has a number of significant new enhancements whilst retaining the market-leading features of the original model.

A new LED flash array provides 3 times more illumination power, allowing pictures to be taken in the darkest situations.  This feature is controlled by the enhanced software which regulates the flash intensity depending on the ambient light available.  Additionally the iCAM501 Ultra has a new, high performance lens which allied to the powerful image analysis software, provides greatly improve picture quality and overall camera performance. The new date stamp feature provides valuable chronological information when reviewing pictures. The camera also comes with a new, removable rubber casing which enhances durability and grip whilst retaining portability and ease of use.

The new iCAM501 Ultra is the first in a series of new products being launched this autumn by Extronics.
