Ultra-Compact LEDs for Space-Critical Applications

Excelsys Technologies has introduced the LDV series of ultra-compact LED drivers for applications including in-store food display, mood lighting, advertising displays and architectural lighting. The new LDV series can deliver up to 92W of output power in a small package size measuring just 28m in height and 40mm in width. These waterproof, IP67, Class 2 LED drivers offer efficiencies of more than 90 per cent and are suitable for space-critical applications including commercial refrigeration, retail and office lighting and environmentally harsh outdoor and urban lighting.

The first two products in the new range are the LDV075-024SN, offering a 24V/3.125A output, and LDV100-024SN, rated at 24V/3.830A, both measuring just 28m in height and 40mm in width. Additional output voltage and current models are set to follow soon, extending the orange from 60W to 200W output power. Standard features include a universal input over the range 90-264VAC, a constant output voltage, a typical efficiency of 91 per cent, an IP67-rated LED Class 2 device to UL 1310, a typical power factor of 0.95 and over-current, over-voltage, short-circuit and over-temperature protection.

All Excelsys LDV products carry a five-year warranty. Dermot Flynn, director of sales for Excelsys Technologies, said: 'We can now meet the specific requirements of most commonly used LED lighting systems, which continue to grow in popularity, offering long-life, low-energy light sources especially suited to industrial and commercial buildings, signs and displays. 'The ultra-compact size of our new LDV LED drivers makes them ideal drop-in replacements for existing lighting systems,' he added.

Typical uses for the new LDV series of LED power supplies from Excelsys include in-store food display and mood-lighting applications, outdoor signs, flat- and wide-screen street advertising displays, in-store media channels in retail shops, including hypermarts, supermarkets and convenience stores, high-bay lighting for conference centres, hospitality industry applications and general industrial and retail building architectural lighting solutions. Excelsys designs and manufactures electronic power solutions for manufacturers of medical, industrial, military, communications and lighting equipment.
