Device Carries Data from Metallic Surroundings

Balluff's 13.56MHz RFID Data Screw enables those in metallic surroundings to attach a data carrier to the object and detach it quickly when it has accomplished its task. The BIS M Data Screw is a complete data carrier mounted in the head of a small bolt. It has a memory capacity of 2,000 bytes to hold information about the history and quality control of a machine or parts. Suitable for use in areas such as parts tracking in manufacturing processes and in closed-loop applications where it will be reused over and over, the Balluff Data Screw has opens up a variety of possibilities in identifying production equipment, such as press tools and automotive engine assemblies.

The Balluff RFID Data Screw can survive where barcodes and standard RFIDs cannot - it thrives in extreme environments and conditions. The Data Screw with IP68/x9K protection standard offers flexibility as in can be mounted in and around metal without detriment. The Data Screw is heat tolerant, noise immune, survives shock and vibration, and it is also resistant to cutting and cleansing fluids.
